Class of 2010

More children than ever are surviving childhood cancer.  Advances in research have created better drugs and treatments.  Nearly 80% of those diagnosed in 2005 will survive 5 years or more compared to 50% in the 1970s.

In the BK® Help Beat Cancer for Kidssm program, 6 kids each year agree to share their stories and are featured in a cause-related marketing promotion in conjunction with Burger King Restaurants, owned and operated by Simmonds Restaurant Management in Omaha, Nebraska. This program not only increases awareness of childhood cancers but is part of the overall outreach and fundraising efforts benefiting Liz's Legacy -  the Fund to Advance Cancer Research at the UNMC Eppley Cancer Center.

BK Beat cancer for kids will reach an estimated 1,000,000 customers through 76 BURGER KING® locations throughout the Eastern Nebraska and Council Bluffs area!

Thank you to Nick, Jazmyn, Mattiesone, Debra, Allyson, and B.J. - the Class of 2010 - for sharing your stories.
